In 1992, Michael Jordan debuted the Air Jordan VII while on his way to solidifying his second NBA Championship. Since then, the sneaker has become a staple in athletic footwear around the globe. Amsterdam-based streetwear retailer, Patta, originated from humble beginnings since opening their doors in 2004. The brand’s founders in Edson Sabajo and Guillaume ‘Gee’ Schmidt shared a passion for sneakers that has now become a streetwear and sneaker empire. Today, the two powerhouses have come together to curate the Patta x Air Jordan VII.
Breaking Down The Patta x Air Jordan VII ‘Shimmer/Tough Red-Velvet Brown’
The sneaker designed by Tinker Hatfield features a nubuck ‘Shimmer’ toned base complete with perforated quarter panels and collars. ‘Velvet Brown’ overlays hit the heel, lacing eyelets, and midsole of the kicks. ‘Tough Red’ accents can be found on the nylon tongue, Jumpman logos, and outsole while Patta branding hits the midsole of the silhouette in cursive calligraphy.
The sneaker is then closed out with outsole a rubber base complete with a moon crater traction system. The Patta x Jordan Brand collab’s effort to merge different textures and highlight earth-tone hues with bold red accents was flawlessly executed and could be considered one of Jordan Brand’s most elite collaborations of the year.
Release Details of The Patta x Air Jordan VII
