Billionaire Boys Club and TheFutureParty, the community-based media platform owned by NVE Experience Agency, will collaborate once again to host a Creative Quarantine Conversation during Minority Mental Health Awareness Month this Thursday (July 23), as well as a limited edition drop with NTWRK.
The discussion is titled “You Are Not Alone,” and will dive into the stigmas of mental health in communities of color. The conversation will focus on the importance of mental health within communities of color and features leaders and advocates in the mental health space such as Dr. Siri Sat Nam Singh (Author and Host of Viceland’s The Therapist), Nina Westbrook (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) and Emilia Ortiz, Darian D. Hall (Co-Founder of HealHause) and Kaya Thomas (Sr. Software Engineer at Calm).
Those interested can tune in on Hopin on Thursday, July 23rd at 4pm PST/7pm EST. Register at Billionaire Boys Club.
To coincide with the digital event, BBC and TFP will also launch a limited edition T-shirt on NTWRK with a special episode hosted by Digital Creator Kia Marie. The unisex shirt, available for $65 in mustard and sea foam, will drop 1 hour prior to the event. Access to “You Are Not Alone” will cost $1 with encouragement to donate more when purchasing tickets. All funds raised from the event, including a portion of the sales from the T-shirts, will be donated to Taraji P. Henson’s charity, the Boris L. Henson Foundation.
“It’s important to us at BBC that we utilize our platform to highlight those who are committed to creating a better society for us all. Mental wellness is something we have been focusing on lately and we noticed the minimal amount of resources for communities of color—communities that as of late, need them the most. With the You Are Not Alone event, we hope to open more doors and educate people about the spaces created specifically for them.” shares Marketing Manager at BBC Icecream.
