Dr. Martens has reconnected with the work of legendary street artist Jean-Michel Basquiat for a second collaboration transforming staple Dr. Martens models into canvases for Basquiat’s best-known works.
Paying homage to one of the foremost legends of the New York art world, the new collaboration sees Dr. Martens’ most well-known styles emblazoned with Basquiat’s most famous works. The 1460 boot and backpack feature large, colorful prints of “Untitled” (1982), while the 1461 shoe is printed with the crowned dinosaur artwork from “Pez Dispenser” (1984).
Both footwear models are detailed with Basquiat’s famous crown motif on the backstrap, with the 1461 also featuring repeating crown detailing above Dr. Martens’ signature yellow stitching.
The Dr. Martens x Basquiat collaboration is available now at drmartens.com and at select partners.
