Under Armour Drops the Ultimate Travel Hack: The ‘No Weigh’ Duffle Backpack

If you’ve ever hauled a fully loaded duffle through a sprawling airport terminal or across the city on a morning commute, you know the drill. The strap eventually digs into your trap, the bag slides awkwardly off your shoulder, and by the time you finally get to the gate or the locker room, you’re already sweating.

It’s a gap in the travel market that has existed for a while: duffels have the space, but backpacks have the comfort. Under Armour is looking to bridge that gap with their latest drop, the No Weigh Duffle Backpack.

Retailing at $185, this new silhouette is designed to be the “one bag to rule them all,” blurring the line between a massive weekender duffle and a high-performance backpack.

UA Suspension Tech: How It Lightens the Load

The big selling point here isn’t just the capacity—it’s the comfort. The bag features the UA Suspension™ Strap System, a proprietary technology that solves the “digging in” problem. Instead of standard static foam, UA uses an “auxetic” design that physically expands and contracts in response to your movement.

According to Kyle Blakely, UA’s SVP of Innovation, the goal was to take technology originally designed for elite athletes and apply it to the daily grind:

“We recognize how this innovative system can reduce strain and enhance comfort for anyone on the move. Whether you’re navigating a busy commute, traveling, or simply carrying your daily essentials, the No Weigh line is built to make your journey easier.”

The system distributes weight evenly across your shoulders, making a 50lb load feel significantly lighter than it actually is. It also pairs with UA’s LEVELED™ system, which acts like a visual guide to ensure your straps are adjusted perfectly even—saving your back from unnecessary strain during those long hauls.

Versatility and Storage: 51L of Expandable Space

Versatility is the name of the game for modern travel gear. You need something that fits in an overhead bin but doesn’t look out of place in an office lobby. The No Weigh Duffle comes with three detachable straps that let you switch up the carry style instantly:

  • Backpack Mode: Snap on the dual auxetic straps for a balanced, hands-free carry when you’re on the move.
  • Duffle Mode: Go classic with a single over-the-shoulder strap for short trips from the car to the locker room.
  • Grab-and-Go: Use the rugged luggage handles for quick maneuvering in tight spaces.

It is also built for heavy packers. The main compartment starts at a respectful 41.5L, but with a quick unzip, it expands to 51L. That is easily enough space for a full weekend’s worth of clothes, two pairs of sneakers, and your dopp kit.

Specs Breakdown: Weather Resistance and Materials

Under the hood, the bag is built from a durable blend of 94% Polyester and 6% Elastane. This gives the fabric a bit of flex without sacrificing toughness. It’s finished with UA Storm technology and coated zippers, creating a weather-resistant shield that keeps your gear dry even if you get caught in the rain.

For the digital nomads, there is a dedicated, padded spacer back panel with a tech pocket that fits up to a 16″ MacBook Pro—keeping your laptop separate from your sweaty gym clothes.

  • Dimensions (Full): 22.8″ W x 10.2″ H x 12.6″ D
