Over the past couple of years, adidas has been successfully fusing nostalgic silhouettes with modern-day sneaker technology. Earlier this year, adidas released the classic 1989 adidas ZX4000 runner fused to their patented 3D web-printed midsole to form the adidas ZX4000 4D. Now, the trefoil gang has revealed another fusion sneaker based off of the classic adidas Ozweego and adiPRENE sole unit to create the adidas Ozweego adiPRENE.
The Construction of the adidas Ozweego adiPRENE “Reflective XENO”
adidas’ latest offering takes on a higher grade of premium materials for a luxe aesthetic and better overall sneaker quality. The adidas Ozweego adiPRENE “Reflective XENO” features a plush genuine leather upper in a monochromatic black hue. Synthetic piping runs along the sneaker’s collar and acts as ankle support system and heel tabs for the sneaker. While adidas’ notorious Three Stripes branding is embroidered on the sneaker’s medial and lateral quarter panels.
Lastly, curvilinear 3M-reflective/iridescent XENO-tech underlays add an eye-catching element to the silhouette. As the sneaker is closed out with a semi-chunky, yet balanced adiPRENE cushioned sole unit in a smoky grey hue.
As of right now, there is no official release date for the adidas Ozweego adiPRENE “Reflective XENO.” But, we can expect for the silhouette to hit select adidas locations and online retailers this upcoming fall/winter.
